CAPTAIN JONES-VAUGHAN was the second son of General Jones-Vaughan and grandson of the late Canon Jones, of Llanengan Rectory.On his mother's side he was a grandson of the late Mr Owen, of Hengwrtucha, and of the Rev. E. Owen, and nephew of late Mr Chas. Owen.

CAPTAIN E. N. JONES-VAUGHAN.
Captain Evan Nanney Jones-Vaughan, Royal Welsh Fusiliers., killed in action, was the son of General Jones-Vaughan, C.B., of Llwyndy, Rhydyclafdy, Carnarvonshire, and a cousin of Sir Hugh Ellis-Nanney, Bart., of Gwynfryn. and nephew of the late Mr C. E. J. Owen, D.L., of Hengwrtucha and Aberhirriaeth Hall.The Colonel of his Battalion writes:—"I cannot speak too highly of the work done by your son during the whole campaign with his men, and now that he has been taken like many another good man, doing his duty for his country, I can only say I have lost a most gallant and capable officer and a very dear companion."
