John Williams, Llon las, Rhiw, Farmer : Will 1837.

 In the name of God Amen.

I, John Williams of Llon las in the Parish of Rhiw in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer being of sound mind memory and understanding praise be to God for the same but being mindful of mortality, do hereby ordain and make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. That is to say. Viz.

I give and devise to my beloved wife Anne the Tenement and Farm called or known by the name of Tan y Bwlch now in the possession of Hugh David situate and being in the Parish of Rhiw in the said County of Carnarvon as tenants for her to receive the rent and proceeds for and during the term of her natural life and no longer and from and after her death, I devise the said Tenement called Tan y Bwlch in the following manner.

First I give and devise the said Tenement of Tan y Bwlch to my Daughter Margaret Jones for the term of four years, for her sole and separate use and from and after the expiration of the term of four years, I give and devise to my son Abraham Jones, one moiety share in value or sum of Two Pounds a year ussuing out of the the said tenement of Tan y Bwlch to him and his heirs for ever.

I give and devise one moiety or share to the value of Two Pounds a year to my Daughter Elizabeth ussuing out of the said Tenement of Tan y Bwlch to her and her heirs.

Also I give and devise the other share moiety or sum of One Pound a year to my Daughter Margaret ussuing in like manner out of the Tenement of Tan y Bwlch aforesaid to her and her heirs for ever, the Rent of the Tenement of Tan y Bwlch being now Five Pounds a year and that my said Son and Daughters must take the same according to this my Will (but in case the land should improve and increase in value and would bear advancement I do not prevent them by this my Will in so doing, provided they share the advanced rent in proportion) share and share alike.

And likewise give and devise to my daughter Elizabeth my clock which is now in my house.

I give and devise to my grandaughter Ann Abraham daughter of my son Abraham one sheep and a lamb.

And lastly I do hereby constitute and appoint my daughter Margaret Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament revoking all other Will or Wills hereto before made by me, and declare this this to be my last. In witness hereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this Twenty ninth day of November and in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven.

Signed sealed published and declared by the Testator as his last Will and Testament. In the presence of us and each of us in the presence of each other as subscribing witnesses.

On the 19th day of July in the year of our Lord 1837 the aforesaid written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Margaret Williams, Sole Executrix, she being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods, Chattels, Effects and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of Twenty Pounds.

A true and perfect Inventory of all the goods, credit and effects of the late John Williams, Penrhyn bach Parish of Aberdaron late of Lonelas Parish of Rhiw in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, made and appraised this 10th day of July 1837.
