James Roberts, Pengwern, Efailnewydd, Pwllheli, Yeoman : Will 1819.
In the name of God Amen.I James Roberts of the Town of Pwllheli in the Parish of Denio in the County of Carnarvon, Yeoman being in bodily health and sound in mind do this fourteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and sixteen (1816) make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say.
First I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Griffith wife of John Griffith of Pwllheli, Mariner the sum of one shilling.
Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Catherine Griffith wife of Owen Griffith the like sum of one shilling.
Also I give and bequeath unto my son John Roberts the like sum of one shilling.
Also I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Catherine Roberts the sum of Twenty Pounds during the term of her natural life and after her death I give and bequeath the said sum of Twenty Pounds to my saon James Roberts, Mariner.
Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Hannah Jones wife of Griffith Jones the sum of one shilling.
As to all the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate and effects of what kind nature or quality soever the same may be or consist of at the time of my decease, I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto and between my said beloved wife Catherine Roberts and my daughter Elizabeth Roberts, share and share alike.
And I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said beloved wife Catherine Roberts and my said daughter Elizabeth Roberts Joint Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void every other Will or Wills heretofore by me made, declaring this to be my last Will. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.
Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator James Roberts as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.

On the 7th day of May in the year of our Lord 1819, the above Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the above named Executrixes Catherine Roberts and Elizabeth Roberts, they being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £100.
