Hugh Jones, Pensarn, Llannor, Malster and Farmer : Will 1818.
In the name of God Amen.I Hugh Jones of Pensarn in the County of Carnarvon, Malster, do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner following, that is to say.
I give and bequeath to Jane Robins the sum of one hundred pounds.
I give and bequeath to Hannah Ellis the sum of five pounds.
I do direct my Executrix hereinafter named to pay the said legacies within twelve calendar months next after my decease.
Whereas Grace Jones of Moel y Don is now indebted unto me in the sum of six pounds. I do hereby release the said Grace Jones from the payment of the same to my Executrix and I give the said sum of six pounds to her the said Grace Jones.
All the rest residue and remainder of my Goods Chattels Monies Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever, I do hereby give and bequeath unto my dear wife Jane, Sole Executrix of this my Will. And it is my Will that my said wife shall give and bequeath all the personal estate and effects which she shall possess under the bequest in this my Will contained unto her son David Jones in case he shall survive her. But if the said David Jones dies in her lifetime then the whole of such personal estate and effects to be disposed of as she my said wife shall think proper. In witness whereof I the said Hugh Jones the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal the sixteenth day of July 1813.
Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator Hugh Jones as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto.
On the tenth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and eighteen (1818) the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Executrix Jane Jones, she being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £450.

A true and perfect Inventory of all the Goods Credits and Effects of the late Hugh Jones of Pensarn in the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon, Malster, deceased, made and appraised by us (gratis) this second day of July in the year 1818.
