William Evans, Mathan Uchaf, Bodfean, Farmer : Will 1851.

I William Evans of Mathan Uchaf in the Parish of Bodvean in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer, being weak in body but of sound mind and memory, do this sixteenth day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty eight make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner following (that is to say).

I give and bequeath all my Goods and Chattels consisting of Farming Stock, Implements of Husbandry and Household Furniture, Ships or Vessels, Monies, Bonds, Securities for Money and all other property of be it of what kind or nature soever and wheresoever it can be found which I may be possessed of at the time of my decese unto and between my dear wife Margaret Evans and all my beloved children now living and which may be born in future time all in equal share and proportion. But in case my said wife Margaret may happen to remarry or contract a second marriage than and immediately after such second marriage had been solemnized the said Margaret now my wife shall and will forfeit and relinquish all her title to any and all of the said property so bequeathed. And my appointed Trustees hereinafter named shall pay my said wife in lieu of the said property the sum of sixty pounds of lawful British money and allow her to take away one bedstead bed and beddings.

And I make and ordain her my said wife Sole Executrix of this my Will in Trust for the intents and purposes in this my Will contained.

And I make my loving brothers (viz) Richard Evans of Plasngheidio and Evan Evans of Llannerch, Trustees and Overseers of this my Will to take care and see the same performed according to my true intent and meaning. In witness whereof I the said William Evans have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

Signed sealed and delivered by the said William Evans as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who were present at the signing and sealing thereof.

On the fifth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty one, the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to Margaret Evans Sole Executrix within named, she being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the deceased Testator do not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds.
