Henry Hughes, Rhyllech Isaf, Llannor, Yeoman : Will 1845.
In the name of God Amen.I Henry Hughes of Rhyllech Isaf in the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon, Yeoman, being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind memory and understanding thanks be given unto God, do hereby make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that id to say. I command my soul into the hands of the Almighty God and my body to be decently buried by and at the discretion of my Executors herein after named.
And as to all my personal estate household furniture effects ready money bonds and other securities for money whatsoever and when soever which I shall be possessed of interested in or any way entitled unto at the time of my decease (subject to the payment of my just debts and funeral expenses) I give and bequeath unto my daughter Cathrine Hughes and my wife Jennet Williams, otherwise Hughes, share and share alike and during the term of her natural life or as long as she remain unmarried (viz Jennet Hughes) and from and immediately after her decease or marry I give and bequeath her share or portion of my Goods furniture and effects unto my said daughter Cathrine Hughes, except one bed and bedding if her marry again may happen, but if my said daughter Cathrine Hughes happen to die unmarried and before her mother I give and bequeath her share or portion unto my said wife Jennet Williams. Cathrine Hughes for and during the term of her natural life or as long as she remain unmarried and immediately after her decease or marry I give and bequeath all my goods furniture and effects between my next relations as my wife Jannet Hughes choose to give them in her Will to them.
And further I do hereby appoint Hugh Hughes of Cwmcoryn in the Parish of Llanaelhaiarn and Griffith Roberts of Mynydd Mawr in the Parish of Abererch Guardians and Trustees for my wife and my daughter and my Will is and I do hereby direct that the said Trustees shall be answerable for their acts and receipts only and not for any loss or miscarriage that may be happen in my effects or relation to the sum of money herein before mentioned and also that they shall retain all their cost damages and expenses out of my stock and effects.
And lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife Jennet Williams otherwise Hughes and my daughter Cathrine Hughes Joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Will or Wills at any time heretofore by me made and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I the said Testator Henry Hughes have hereunto set my hand and seal this 28th day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty four.

Hugh Hughes Cwnmcoryn
On the fourth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred anf forty five the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Jonnet Hughes, Widow, one of the Executrixes, the other Executrix being a minor, she being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods Chattels Effects and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of six hundred pounds.

A true and perfect Inventory of all the Goods Chattels Effects of the late Henry Hughes of Rhyllach Isaf in the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer, deceased made by us (Gratis) the 2nd day of July 1845.
