Hugh Griffith, Bryn Pys, Llannor : Will 1820.

In the name of God Amen.

I Hugh Griffith of Bryn Pys in the Parish of Llannor and Diocese of Bangor and in the County of Carnarvon considering the uncertainty of this mortal life, and being of sound and perfect mind and memory, do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in the manner and form following, that is to say.

I give and bequeath unto Evan Thomas of Cae'r Neddol in the Parish of Llanfihangel Bachellaeth and County of Carnarvon the sum of two pounds which I lent to David Griffith of Glan y Gors in the Parish of Bodvean.

I order the said David Griffith to pay them to the said Evan Thomas within the first year after my decease.

And lastly as to all the rest residue and remainder of my personal Estate, Goods and Chattels of whatsoever kind or nature I give and bequeath the same unto my sister Grace, whom I hereby appoint Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void all former Wills and Testaments by me made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the twelfth day of December in the fifty sixth year of the Reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third by the grace of God of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Ireland and King Defender of the Faith. In the year of our Lord 1816.

My property and my personal are as follows :

I have the sum of twenty pounds and seventeen shillings with Richard Williams of Pistill in the Parish of Pistill.

And five pounds with Ellis Williams of Cefnydd y Pistill in the same Parish.

And six pounds and four shillings with Harry Francis of Frochas in the Parish of Bodvean.

And six pounds and six shillings with Robert Parry of Castell Bach in the Parish of Pistill.

And four pounds with Owen Ellis, Pig Merchant, Llangybi.

And three pounds with Robert Prichard Gefal y Penman in the Parish of Llannor.

And ten pounds with Thomas Evans of Cae'r Neddol in the Parish of Llanfihangel Bachellaeth, all in the County of Carnarvon, all the above with my clock and my bed, I give and bequeath to my sister Grace the Executrix of this my last Will as aforesaid.

I appoint Robert Prichard of Gefal y Penman in the Parish of Llannor to aid and help my Executrix in levying the above sums of money and put them to interest for her benefit. Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Hugh Griffith to be his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses in the presence of the Testator.

On the 20th day of March in the year of our Lord 1820 the above Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the above named Executrix Grace Jones, she being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to one hundred pounds.
