William Jones, Gellidara, Llannor, Gent : Will 1828.

In the name of God Amen.

I William Jones of Gellidara in the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon, Gentleman, being in tolerable health of body and of sound mind memory and understanding, praised be Almighty God for the same, do this twentieth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty eight (1828) make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say.

First I give devise and bequeath unto my eldest daughter Mary Jones all those houses lands and every appurtenances thereunto belonging now held by me by lease under or from Sir Thomas Mostyn Bart, situate lying and being in the Town of Barmouth in the Parish of Llanaber in the County of Merioneth, for and during the term of the said lease.

Also I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Mary Jones the sum of fifty pounds out of the sum of one hundred pounds now secured by me by a note of hand from William Timothy and Ellis William Timothy.

Also I give and bequeath unto my said daughter Mary Jones 3/64th share of the Brig Felix city of Barmouth. As to all the rest residue and remainder of all my real and personal estate and effects of what kind nature or quality soever the same may be or consist of at the time of my decease,

I give devise and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my beloved wife Anne Jones on condition that she continues my widow and does not again marry, but in case she should again marry then my Will and meaning id that she should have the lease and every advantage zand benefit arising there from of the houses lands and every appurtenances thereunto belonging situate at Trerddol in the Parish of Llangyfelan in the County of Cardigan and no more in lieu of all the rest of the aforesaid real and personal property, and in case she should marry again, I give devise and bequeath all the said residue and remainder (except the said lease) unto my daughters Elizabeth, Anne and Catherine Jones, share and share alike to each.

And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said beloved wife Anne Jones, Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void every other Will or Wills, heretofore by me made declaring this and this only to be my last Will. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator William Jones as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request have subscribed our names as witnesses.

On the eighteenth day of November in the year of our Lord 1828, the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Anne Jones, Sole Executrix, she being frist sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of £800.

A true and perfect Inventory of all the Goods Credits and Effects of the late William Jones of Gellidara in the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon, made and appraised by us (gratis) this fourth day of November 1828.
