Thomas Roberts, Pencaurchwith, Llannor, Farmer : Will 1828.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Roberts of Pencaurchwith in the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer, being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding praised be God for the same, that is to say, I will and direct that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary charges and expenses shall be paid by my Executor hereinafter named as soon as conveniently may be after my decease.

I give and bequeath unto my Nephew William Jones of Bontnewydd near Carnarvon, Shoemaker, son of my late brother John Roberts deceased the sum of five pounds.

To my Nephew Robert Jones, Labourer, another son of my said late brother John Roberts the sum of five pounds.

To my Niece Mary the wife of Humphrey Hughes of Llangybi, Shoemaker, daughter of my late sister Sarah Roberts deceased the sum of two pounds.

To my Niece Margaret Roberts, Spinster, another daughter od my said late sister Sarah Roberts the sum of two pounds.

To my Nephew Robert Roberts son of my said late sister Sarah Roberts the sum of two pounds.

To Catherine Owen the daughter of my Nephew Robert Owen one of my Executors hereinafter named, the clock and case that I now have at Pencaerchwith aforesaid.

And I direct that the five specific and pecuniary legacies shall be paid at the expiration of twelve calendar months which shall next happen after my decease and as to all the rest residue and remainder of my monies and household goods and furniture together with all and singular my securities for Money, Farming Stock, Implements in Husbandry, Goods, Chattels and Personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever which shall remain after payment of my debts, funeral expenses, testamentary charges and the aforesaid specific and pecuniary legacies I give and bequeath the same unto my said Nephew Robert Owen of Pwllheli, Shoemaker and my Nephew Griffith Owen of the above place, Joiner, their Executors Administrators and Assigns absolutely forever, share and share alike.

And I do hereby nominate and appoint my said Nephews the said Robert Owen and Griffith Owen, Joint Executors of this my Will and I do hereby revoke and make void all former and other Wills by me at nay time or times heretofore made and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I the said Testator Thomas Roberts have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this first day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six.

Signed sealed published and declared by the Testator Thomas Roberts as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other Have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

On the 30th day of October in the year of our Lord 1827 the above written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Griffith Owen and Robert Owen, Joint Executors, they being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of £100.
