Richard Hughes, Tymawr, Llannor, Singleman/Yeoman : Will 1811.

In the name of God Amen.

I Richard Hughes of the Village and Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon, Singleman, being weak of body, but of sound mind memory and understanding (praised be God) do publish and declare this written Instrument, as and for my last Will and Testament, which I make and ordain in the form and manner following, that is to say.

In the first place I give and bequeath unto my sister Jane Hughes of Anglesey the sum of three pounds.

Also I give and bequeath unto my Nephew Owen James the sum of two pounds.

Also I give and bequeath unto my Niece Anne Richard of Pwllheli the sum of two pounds and my chest of drawers.

Also I give and bequeath unto Eleanor the daughter of my said Niece Anne Richard the sum of five pounds, the interest to be paid her every year until she attains the age of eighteen years when the said sum of five pounds is to be paid to her, but in case the said child Eleanor Jones should die before she attains the age of eighteen years, I give and bequeath the said sum of five pounds to her sister Mary Jones, an infant.

I give my feather bed unto my friend Eleanor Samuel of Abererch.

I give and bequeath unto my brother James Hughes the sum of one pound and no more.

As to all the rest and residue of my personal estate and effects of what kind or nature soever the same shall be at the time of my decease I give the same and every part thereof unto my above named Nephew Owen James, whom I also nominate constitute and appoint Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, revoking every other Will or Wills heretofore by me made declaring this and this only to be my last Will. As witness my hand and seal this 19th day of December 1808.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator Richard Hughes as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.

On the twenty sixth day of May in the year of our Lord 1811 the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to thw within named Owen James, Executor, he being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £20.

Probate granted 6th August 1811.

A true and perfect Inventory of all the Goods Credits and Effects of the late Richard Hughes of the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon, Yeoman, deceased made and appraised by us (gratis) this 15th day of February in the year of our Lord 1809.
