George Griffith, Strulwm, Yeoman : Will 1795.

In the name of God Amen.

I George Griffith of Strulwm in the Parish of Abererch in the County of Carnarvon, Yeoman, being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory thanks be given unto God. And as touching such worldly estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me with in this life, I give and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.

I give and bequeath unto my beloved son John being my eldest son by my first wife Dorothy the sum of One shilling.

I give and bequeath unto my well beloved son Lewis the sum of One shilling.

I give and bequeath unto my beloved son Griffith the sum of One shilling.

I give and bequeath unto my well beloved daughter Catherine the sum of One shilling.

I give and bequeath unto my well beloved daughter Jane the sum of One shilling.

I give and bequeath unto my well beloved daughter Ellin the sum of One shilling.

I give and bequeath unto my well beloved daughter Elizabeth the sum of Ten shillings.

Also I give unto my dearly beloved wife Margaret whom I likewise constitute and ordain my sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament and for my said dearly beloved wife to divide as she thinks most proper between my six children by her in witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this 17th day of August 1795.

Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said George Griffith as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names.

On the 8th of September in the year of our Lord 1795 the above or within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and administration granted to the within Executrix Margaret … of the Parish of Abererch in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, she being first personally sworn on the Holy Evangelist having alledged that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the Testator George Griffith doth not amount in value to the sum of One hundred Pounds.
Before me Richard Owen Surrogate.

On the 25th day of September 1795 probate of this will was granted to Margaret Griffith the widow and relict of the deceased and sole Executrix married in the said Will having been first sworn duly to administer.
