Humphrey Jones, Plas Tudur, Llannor : Will 1795.
In the name of God Amen.I Humphrey Jones of Plas Tudur in the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon, do make publish and ordain this my last Will and Testament in the manner and form following, that is to say.
I give and bequeath to Gwen my beloved wife all and singular of my severally Goods Chattels in and out moveable and immoveable rights and demands of all kind upon condition she remains unmarried during her lifetime, but if she happens to be married after my lifetime.
I give and bequeath to my said wife no more than one bed and bed clothes together with twenty pounds.
All the rest and residue I give and bequeath to be equally divided between my five grand children, one to succeed the other. In case she the said Gwen doth not be married I make and ordain and appoint her my Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, provided she pays my debts and funeral expenses. I do revoke and disallow all other former Wills made by me, confirm this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eleventh day of May in the year of our Lord God one thousand seven hundred and eighty nine.
My intent and meaning is that Charles Williams of Ty Mawr and John Williams of Mur Llwyd both in the Parish of Llannor to be overlooker for all the children.

On the 29th day of August in the year of our Lord 1795 the above or written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Executrix Gwen Prichard of the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, she being first personally sworn on the Holy Evangelists (having alledged that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the Testator Humphrey Jones doth not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds.)
Before me Richard Owen Surrogate.
On the 25th day of September 1795 probate of this Will was granted to Gwen Prichard the Widow and Relict of the deceased and Sole Executrix named in the said Will having been first sworn duly to Administer.
