William David, Tydu, Llannor, Yeoman : Will 1794.

In the name of God Amen.

I William David of Tydu in the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon, Yeoman, being advanced in years but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding and considering the uncertainty of this transitory life do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say.

First I give and bequeath unto my son William the sum of one pound of lawful British money.

Also I give and bequeath unto my son David the sum of twenty pounds of like lawful British money.

I do hereby will and direct the said several legacies by me above bequeathed be paid within six months next after my decease by my Executrix hereinafter named.

And as for and concerning the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate and effects of what nature or kind soever the same shall consist of at the time of my decease after payment of my just debts legacies and funeral expenses, I give and bequeath the same unto my loving wife Jane whom I hereby nominate and appoint Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former Will or Wills by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty second day of February in the fifteenth year of the Reign of his present Majesty George the Third now, King over Great Britain and so forth and in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and seventy five.

Signed sealed published and declared by the above named Testator William David as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us whose names are hereunto subscribed as witnesses thereto in his presence and in the presence of each other.

On the 5th day of November in the year of our Lord 1794 the above or within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration to the within named Executrix Jane Williams, Widow and Relict of the Testator of the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon, she being first personally sworn on the Holy Evangelists as the Law directs (having alledged that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the Testator deceased do not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds).

On the 28th day of November 1794 probate of this Will was granted to Jane Williams the Widow and Relict of the deceased and the Sole Executrix named in the said Will having been first sworn duly to Administer. An Inventory of the Goods Chattels and Effects of the late William David of Ty Du in the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon deceased, appraised by us Willaim Prichard of Ty du and Samuel Jones of Rhos y Gwiddil both of the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon aforesaid dated the thirtieth day of October one thousand seven hundred and ninety four.
