Robert Powell, Brynhunog, Llannor, Yeoman : Will 1793.

In the name of God Amen.

I Robert Powell of Brynhunog in the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon, Yeoman, being sick and weak in body but of sound mind memory and understanding do make and publish this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. That is to say.

First of all, I give and bequeath to my son Owen Roberts the full and just sum of eight pounds of lawful English Money.

Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Margaret Roberts the sum of five shillings of the like lawful English Money.

Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Roberts the full and just sum of ten pounds of lawful English Money.

Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Ann Roberts the full and just sum of two pounds and ten shillings of lawful English Money.

Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Catherine Roberts the sum of two pounds and ten shillings of lawful English Money.

And Also, all the rest residue and remainder of my worldly Goods and Effects whatsoever and where soever I give devise and bequeath to my beloved wife Eleanor Griffith and to my sons Griffith Roberts and Howell Roberts, share and share alike.

And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife Eleanor Griffith, Griffith Roberts and Howell Roberts Co-Executors of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all other former Will and Wills by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty six.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator Robert Powell as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto in the presence of the said Testator and in the presence of each other.

On the 4th day of March in the year of our Lord 1793 the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to Howell Roberts one of the Executors named in the said Will, he being first personally sworn on the Holy Evangelists as the Law directs with Power reserved for Eleanor Griffith and Griffith Roberts, the other Executors named in the said Will, to apply for the same when they shall be lawfully entitled thereof (the said Howell Roberts of the Parish of Llannor alledged that the effects of the Testator Robert Powell do not amount in value to the sum of three hundred pounds.)
