David Evans, Llannerch Fawr, Llannor, Yeoman : Will 1791.

In the name of God Amen. The twenty third day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty two.

I David Evans of Llannerch in the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon, Yeoman, being sick and weak in body but of perfect mind and memory (God be praised) duly considering that it is appointed for all men to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, viz, I recommend my soul into the hands of my merciful Redeemer Jesus Christ and my body to the Earth to be buried in a Christian like and decent manner. And as touching such worldly Goods wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this life, I give devise and dispose of the same in the manner and form following.

First of all I give and bequeath to my well beloved daughter Ann Evans the full and just sum of six pounds of lawful English money.

Also I give and bequeath to my well beloved son Evan Evans the full and just sum of twenty and four pounds of the like lawful English money.

Also I give and bequeath to my well beloved son Robert Evans the full and just sum of twenty and four pounds of the like lawful English money.

Also I give and bequeath to my well beloved son William Evans the like sum of twenty and four pounds of the like lawful English money.

Also I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife Catherine Griffiths, whom I likewise constitute make and ordain my only and Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament all and every of my Goods Chattels and Personal Estate where soever and whatsoever to be by her freely possessed and enjoyed.

And I hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former Wills, Testimony, Legacies, Bequests or Executors by me before this time in any ways named willed and bequeathed - ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

Signed sealed pronounced and declared by the said David Evans as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us the subscribers.

May 11th 1791. On which day the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the Executrix within named, she being first sworn as the Law directs, saving etc. Before me Richard Owen Surrogate. On the 23rd day of May 1791 probate of this Will was granted to Catherine Griffiths the Widow and Relict of the said deceased and the Sole Executrix named in the said Will having been first sworn duly to administer.

True and perfect Inventory of all singular Goods Chattels which were of David Evans of Llannerch in the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon, Yeoman deceased, appraised April 30th 1791.
