MR. ERIC GLYN PARRY.
We regret to record the tragic death of Mr. Eric Glyn Parry, Talysarn, aged 21 years. He was drowned whilst bathing in Kent, on Monday, May 21.He had spent most of his life in the village of Talysarn. As a member of the “Urdd,” he sang in several of the eisteddfodau, and was interested in singing. He was a brilliant scholar, and was respected by his teachers and all who knew him. He left for London in March, 1941, to take up employment at the Royal Arsenal, where in due course, he became an analytical chemist. He was a member of the Welsh Club. He gave much of his time to serve his country, and in the Home Guard, and in First Aid posts did excellent work.
The funeral took place on Saturday, at Macpelah Cemetery, Penygroes. The Rev. R. Jones, B.A., and the Rev. G. E. Breeze officiated at the house; Rev. Canon Gwynfryn Richards, M. A. B.Sc. Rector of Llanllyfni, in the Church and at the graveside. The service was choral and in English.
The undertaker was Mr. Watkin Jones, Talysarn.
Mrs. Jones and Mrs. Lewis, Rhiwlas Road, were at the house.

Car 7 : Mr Richard Williams, Mr Vaughan Jones, Mr R. O. Williams, Mr J. Lewis, Mr R. Thomas. Car 8 : Mr J. M. Hughes, Mr T. O. Jones, Mr J Griffiths, Mr D. O. Jones, Mr R. Roberts (friends). Car 9 : Dr. Morgan (headmaster), and three teachers from the County School, Penygroes.
