In the name of God Amen.

I Griffith Jones of Park in the Parish of Llanllechid in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer, being of sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, but mindful of my mortality, do this twenty first day of April in the year of our Lord 1797 make and publish this my last Will and Testament, in manner and form following :
That is to say
First I give and bequeath unto my brother William Jones the sum of one pound
Also, I give and bequeath unto my brother Robert Jones the sum of one shilling
Also, I give and bequeath unto my sister Jane Jones the sum of one shilling
Also, I give and bequeath unto my nephew William Owen the sum of one shilling
Also, I give and bequeath unto my wife Catherine Thomas the three pieces of furniture, which I have in Ffridd Ddu in the Parish of Caerhun, vulgarly called "Cwppwr Press" "Cwpper Tridarn" "Cist Gyffylog"

And as to all the rest, residue and remainder of my estate whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature, kind and quality soever the same may be, and not herein before given and disposed of, after payment of my debts, legacies, funeral expenses and the expense of proving this my Will, I do hereby give and bequeath the same, being all personal, unto my dear wife, the said Catherine Thomas, her Executors, Administrators and Assigns, to and for her and their own use absolutely.

And I do hereby make, ordain, constitute and appoint my said wife Catherine Thomas, sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former and other Wills and Testaments by me at any time heretofore made. In witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set and subscribed my hand and seal, the day and year first above written.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Testator Griffith Jones, as and for his last Will and Testament, in the presence of us, who at his request, in his presence and in the presence of each other subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.

On the 24th day of June 1797 the within Will was insinuated, proved, approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Executrix Catherine Thomas, widow of the said deceased, she being first sworn on the Holy Evangelists as the Law directs and that the whole of the Goods, Credits and Chattels of the said Testator does not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds.
