Humphrey Thomas, Ty'n Weirglodd Llangybi, Farmer : Will 1818.

In the name of God Amen.
I Humphrey Thomas of Tyn werglodd in the Parish of Llangybi in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer, being in health of body and of sound memory and understanding, praised be God for the same do make, publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. Viz.

In the first place I give and bequeath unto my son Griffith Humphrey the sum of thirty pounds.

Also I give and bequeath unto my grand children Griffith and Mary, children of my said son Griffith Humphrey the sum of five pounds each.

Also I give and bequeath unto my grand children, the children of my late daughter, Anne Humphrey, namely Mary, Humphrey, Robert, Eleanor and Griffith the sum of seven pounds each, when they severally attain the age of sixteen years.

Also I give and bequeath unto my son in law Robert Roberts of Gellihir the sum of five pounds.

Also I give and bequeath unto my grandson Humphrey Thomas the like sum of five pounds.

Also I give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Mary Thomas one ewe sheep and a lamb.

Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Humphrey the sum of one hundred pounds.

I also give and bequeath to my said daughter Mary Humphrey one small bed, bedstead, one pair of fine sheets, one new coverlid and the clothes belonging to the said bed. Also the dresser with all the pewter and earthenware thereon, or belonging thereto, the press cupboard, the cupboard in the chamber, two good oak chairs, one round table, two brass candlesticks, one brass laddle and one large Welsh Bible.

And I appoint my son Griffith Humphrey and William Williams Esquire of Plashen Guardians and Trustees to my said daughter Mary Humphrey. As to all the rest residue and remainder of my Personal Estate and Effects of what kind nature or quality soever the same may be or consist of at the time of my decease.

I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my son Thomas Humphrey now living with me. And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said son Thomas Humphrey Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, revoking and making void every other Will or Wills heretofore by me made, declaring this and this only to be my last Will. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty second day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifteen (1815).

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator Humphrey Thomas as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.

On the eleventh day of February in the year of our Lord 1818 the above Will was insinuated, proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid, and Administration granted to the above named Executor Thomas Humphrey, he being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £200.

A true and faithful Inventory of all the Goods and Chattels of Humphrey Thomas of Tyn Weirglodd in the Parish of Llangybi in the County of Carnarvon, the Diocese of Bangor, deceased appraised by us whose names are undersigned the 27th day of November in the year of our Lord 1817.
