John Prichard, Penybont Llangybi, Farmer : Will 1852.
This is the last Will and Testament of me John Prichard of Penybont in the Parish of Llangybi in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer.Whereas I am possessed after my late Father of certain freehold farm lands and hereditaments called and known by the name of Penybont or Tyddyn y ?, and also by purchase a part of the farm of Murcypla which I now occupy, all of which I give and bequeath subject to the payments and charges herein after specified unto my only son Richard and his heirs for ever, but in default of my said son Richard having children I Will and direct that the said farms and lands after his decease be jointly inherited by my four daughters Rachel, Jane, Ann and Janet; and their heirs for ever.
I Will and direct that as soon as convenient after my decease my said son Richard shall and he is hereby empowered to raise upon mortgage or otherwise upon the said Farms the sum of five hundred pounds which sum of five hundred pounds I dispose of as follows, that is to say, at the expiration of twelve calendar months after my decease I order and direct that my said son Richard shall pay or cause to be paid unto my daughter Rachel the sum of one hundred and twenty five pounds, unto my daughter Jane the like sum of one hundred and twenty five pounds, unto my daughter Ann the like sum of one hundred and twenty five pounds and unto my daughter Janet the like sum of one hundred and twenty five pounds., being the residue of the said sum of five hundred pounds.
And I further Will and direct that my said son Richard shall pay or cause to be paid out of the rents and profits of the said farms unto my beloved wife Ann Prichard the sum of twenty pounds sterling a year and every year during the term of her natural life.
I also Will and order that my said son Richard shall not be empowered to sell or dispose nor raise upon mortgage or any other security upon the said Farms any further sum or sums of money than the said sum of five hundred pounds as herein before directed. My personal estate I dispose of as follows.
First I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Ann Prichard the sum of two hundred pounds for her sole use and benefit.
All the rest and residue of my personal property of what kind soever, after payment of any just debts, funeral expenses and proving this my Will, I give and bequeath unto my said son Richard and unto my beloved wife Ann Prichard share and share alike. And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said son Richard and my said beloved wife Ann Prichard, Joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I the said John Prichard have to this my last Will and Testament contained in one sheet of paper set my hand and seal viz to the first page thereon set my hand and to the second and last page thereof my hand and seal this nineteenth day of December one thousand eight hundred and fifty (1850)
Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator John Prichard as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

On the 10th day of May in the year of our Lord 1852 the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Executor and Executrix Richard Thomas and Anne Prichard, they being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to four hundred and fifty pounds.

Probate granted 12th June 1852.
A true and perfect Inventory of all the Goods Chattels and Credits of the late John Prichard of Cefcaerferch in the Parish of Llangybi in the County of Carnarvon deceased the third day of May 1852.
