John Evans, Penybryn Llangybi, Farmer : Will 1840.
In the name of God Amen.I John Evans of Penybryn in the Parish of Llangybi in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer, being sick in body but of sound mind memory and understanding, praised be Almighty God for the same, do make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. Viz.
First I give and bequeath unto my daughter Jane the sum of one shilling.
Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary the sum of twenty pounds.
Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth the sum of one shilling.
As to all the rest residue and remainder of my Personal Estate and Effects of what nature kind or quality soever the same may be or consist of at the time of decease, I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my beloved wife Mary and my son Evan and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said beloved wife Mary and my son Evan, Joint Executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void every other Will or Wills heretofore by me made declaring thia and this only, to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty (1840).
Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator John Evans asand for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who in his presence at his request and in the presence od each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.

On the twenty seventh day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty, the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Mary Evans, the Widow and Evan Evans, the son, being Joint Executors, they being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds.

A true and perfect Inventory of all the Goods Chattels and Effects of the late John Evans of Penybryn in the Parish of Llangybi in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer, deceased, made by us, whose names are hereunto subscribed the 16th day of May in the year of our Lord 1840.
