Griffith Mark, Llangybi, Joiner : Will 1785.
In the name of God Amen.I Griffith Mark of Llangybi in the County of Carnarvon, Joiner being of sound mind memory and understanding (Blessed be God) but considering the uncertainty of this transitory life do make ordain publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following (that is to say).
First of all I give and bequeath unto my grandson Griffith Jones the sum of six pounds of Lawful British Money.
Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth the wife of John Griffith Yeoman the sum of twenty shillings of like lawful money.
And as for the rest residue and remainder of my personal estate whatsoever and where soever after payment of my just debts funeral expenses and legacies aforesaid, I give and bequeath the same and every part and parcel thereof unto my dear and beloved wife Catherine Thomas otherwise Mark for and during and unto the full end and term of her natural life and from and immediately after her decease I give and bequeath the same and every part and parcel thereof unto my said daughter Elizabeth the wife of the said John Griffith for ever.
And lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint her my said dear wife Catherine Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all former and other Wills by me at any time heretofore made and declaring this and this only to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I the said Testator Griffith Mark have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty seventh day of February one thousand seven hundred and eighty two.

On the thirtieth day of May 1785 the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Executrix, she being first personally sworn on the Holy Evangelists as the Law directs by me John Thomas Surrogate
