Owen Jones, Brychyni Llangybi, Yeoman : Will 1756.

In the name of God Amen. I Owen Jones of Brychyni in the Parish of Llangyby in the County of Carnarvon in the Diocese of Bangor, being sick in body but of a sound and disposing mind and memory blessed be God for all his mercy, do hereby make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. First I recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God, my body to be buried in Christian burial.

First, I give and bequeath unto my daughter Catherine Owen one bedside with all competent bedclothes thereon and also two pounds in money.

Also I give and bequeath unto my son Henry Owen five pounds in money.

Also I give and bequeath unto my son Robert Owen his maintains for ten years.

Also that my Executor hereinafter named should pay the surgeon for his cure. And also ten pounds in money at the expiration of the above mentioned ten years.

Also I give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Ellin Jones the greatest pann that I have. Also my Will and desire is if Richard Abraham and others pay the desperate debts by him owing my Executor pay unto my son in law John Thomas one guinea and also one guinea to my son Henry Owen. As for the rest and residue of all my goods cattle and chattels I give and bequeath unto my son John Owen whom I do hereby nominate and appoint Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, revoking and making void all former Wills by me made.

In witness whereof I set my mark this 29th day of November in the year of our Lord Christ 1755.

Signed sealed published and declared in our presence and at the request of the Testator we signed our names as witnesses hereto. John Thomas James Owen On the twelfth day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and fifty six, the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and decreed valid in common Form of Law, and Administration of the Goods Cattle and Chattels of the within mentioned Owen Jones deceased granted to the Executor within named, he being first personally sworn as the Law directs / everyone's rights being saved and reserved.
