Ellis William, Llangybi, : Will 1746.

 In the name of God Amen.

I Ellis William of the Parish of Llangybi in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, being of perfect memory and unsombrance praised be God do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following.

That is to say, First and principally I command my soul into the hands of Almighty God my maker having through the moritorious death of Jesus Christ my only saviour and redeemer to receive free pardon and forgiveness of all my sins and to inherit everlasting life and as for my body to be buried in Christian burial at the discretion of my Executrix hereafter named and also as for touching and concerning the disposition of all my worldly goods, chattels, cattles, credits and demands,

I give bequeath and dispose thereof as followeth.

First I give and bequeath unto my son William the sum of seven? Pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain.

Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Catherine the sum of twenty shillings.

Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Rebecca the like sum of twenty shillings.

Also I give and bequeath unto my Grand daughter Catherine Jones the sum of five shillings.

As for all and singular the rest residue and remainder of my worldly goods chattels cattles and credits whatsoever where soever and of what nature soever they be I give and bequeath the one moety or half part thereof unto my son William and my son David to be equally divided between them my said sons.

Also I give and bequeath the other moety or half part thereof unto my dear wife Ellen John Owen upon condition that she shall pay all my debts legacies and funeral expenses. And I do make her the said Ellen John Owen Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, revoking and making void all other Wills and Testaments by me heretofore made.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this three and twentieth day of January in the year of our Lord (1745) one thousand seven hundred and forty five.

 Was proved approved and decreed valid in common form of Law this within written Will and Administration of the goods cattle chattels and credits ? Singular the goods of the deceased granted to Executrix herein named being first as the Law directs for the due execution thereof / everyone's rights saved.
