Griffith Prichard, Codgel Hill, Llannor, Farmer : Will 1837.

In the name of God Amen.

I Griffith Prichard of Codgel Hill in the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, Farmer being in health of body and of sound disposing mind memory and understanding praised be Almighty God for the same, do this fifth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty four (1834), make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, viz.

First, I give and bequeath unto my son Richard Prichard the sum of two pounds.

Also I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Prichard the sum of two hundred and fifty pounds.

Also I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Margaret Prichard in case she continues my Widow, all that my real estate called Lletty-fadog, my house and premises in the Town of Pwllheli, and my two houses and premises at Penrallt near Denio, during the term of her natural life, charging the said Tenement of Lletty-faddog with the yearly sum of two pounds and two shillings to my son, Richard Prichard to be paid him by the tenant for the time being as heretofore and his receipt to be a sufficient discharge.

And after the decease of my said wife, I give devise and bequeath the said Tenement of Lletty-faddog situate in the Parish of Llanengan, with its premises and every appurtenances thereto belonging to my said son Richard Prichard his heirs and assigns for ever.

Also after the death of my wife, I give devise and bequeath all those my houses, premises, lands and every appurtenances thereto belonging situate at Pwllheli and Penrallt and now in the holding or occupation of Owen Owens, William Williams and Mary Parry unto my son Thomas Prichard, his heirs and assigns for ever.

And should my beloved wife as afore mentioned continue my Widow then and in that case, I give and bequeath unto her all the rest, residue and remainder of my personal estate and effects of what kind nature or quality soever the same may or consist of at the time of my decease. But should my said wife again marry, then I give and bequeath unto her one feather bed, one bedstead and all clothes thereunto belonging and no more, and such residue of all my real and personal estate on her said marriage I give and bequeath equally between my said two sons, share and share alike.

Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my said beloved wife Margaret Prichard, Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void every other Will or Wills heretofore by me made, declaring this and this only to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first before written.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator Griffith Prichard as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.

On the first day of June in the year of our Lord 1837, the aforesaid written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the aforesaid named Margaret Prichard, Sole Executrix, she being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of three hundred pounds.

A true and perfect Inventory of all the Goods Chattels Effects and Credits of the late Griffith Prichard of Cottage Hill in the Parish of Llannor in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, deceased made by us whose names are hereby subscribed the 31st day of May in the year of our Lord 1837.
