MR. JAMES ROBERTS, 3 CAE CARREG.
We regret to announce the death of Mr. James Roberts, 3, Cae Carreg, which occurred after a serious illness on Tuesday, aged 61 years. Deceased was a native of the town, being the son of the late Mr and Mrs Joseph Roberts of Twthill.He joined the Army when he was a young lad, and was a member of the old Militia for 13 years. After the last war he saw service with the Labour Corps. He kept a successful business at 44, Pool Street for some years. He served for some years as caretaker of the Institute Buildings, and was latterly employed at a factory.
He was well known amongst a host of friends in the town. He leaves a widow, two sons, one of whom, Sergt James Roberts, is with the Welsh Guards, and five daughters and other relatives, and with whom much sympathy is expressed.
The funeral took place to-day, the internment being at the Public Cemetery. There were no flowers by request.
