Griffith Griffiths Gellia, Llanaelhaiarn, Yeoman : Will 1825

In the name of God Amen. I Griffith Griffiths of Gellia in the Parish of Llanaelhaiarn in the County of Carnarvon, Yeoman, being sick and weak of body, but of perfect mind memory and understanding thanks be given unto God. Do hereby make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say, I commend my soul into the hands of the Almighty God, and my body to be decently buried by and at the discretion of my Executors hereinafter named.

First I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Griffith the sum of three pounds.

Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Jonnet Griffith the sum of two pounds.

And as to all my Household Goods, Furniture, Effects, ready money, Funds and other Securities for money whatsoever and wheresoever Which I shall be possessed of, interested in or any way entitled unto at the time of my decease (subject to the payments of my Just Debts and Funeral Expenses) I give and bequeath the same unto my wife Martha Griffith and my son John Griffith, share and share alike, and in case that my said son John Griffith shall survive my said wife Martha Griffith, I give and bequeath her share of all my Goods, Furniture and Effects unto my said son John Griffith to and for his proper use and benefit. And further it is my Will that my said wife Martha Griffith and my said son John Griffith, each of them alike or the survivor of them, to keep and maintain my daughter Mary Griffith for and during the term of her natural life.

And I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my said wife Martha Griffith and my said son John Griffith Joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Will or Wills at any time heretofore by me made, and do declare this to be my last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I the said Testator Griffith Griffiths have hereunto set my Hand and Seal, this second day of February, One Thousand Eight Hundred and Twenty Five.

Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Testator, as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who have hereunder set our names as witnesses in the presence and at the request of the said Testator and in the presence of each other.

On the Seventh day of March in the year of our Lord 1825, the within written Will was insinuated, proved, approved and in common form of Law decreed Valid and Administration granted to the within named Executors Martha Griffith and John Griffith, they being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £200. Before me William Willams Surrogate.

A true and perfect Inventory taken this 18th day of February In the year of our Lord 1825. Of all and singular Goods, Chattels and moveable Effects of Griffith Griffiths of Gellia in the Parish of Llanaelhaiarn in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, Yeoman, deceased, the said Goods were appraised by us whose names are underwritten viz.
