Jane Ellis, Penycob, Pwllheli, Spinster : Will 1849.
This is the last Will and Testament of me Jane Ellis of Pwllheli in the County of Carnarvon, Spinster.I give and bequeath unto my sister Catherine the sum of ten pounds. I give and bequeath unto Jane Jones of High Street in Pwllheli aforesaid Shopkeeper, one of my best gowns.
I give and bequeath Ellin Royle, Spinster all and singular my wearing apparel (except the said gown given and bequeathed by me to the said Jane Jones, absolutely for ever).
As to all the rest and residue of my personal estate and effects, money and securities for money I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof untp my brother John Ellis, absolutely.
And I do hereby nominate and appoint him my said brother John Ellis, Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, and I do hereby revoke all former Wills by me heretofore made, and declare this my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set and subscribed my hand and seal this twentieth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty nine (1849).
Signed sealed published and declared the said Testator, Jane Ellis as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us have set and subscribed our names thereto.

On the twenty fifth day of September in the year of our Lord 1849 the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to John Ellis, Sole Executor within named, he being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the within named deceased do not amount in value to £100.
