Thomas Griffith, Tower, Pwllheli, Gent : Will 1853.
This is the last Will and Testament of me Thomas Griffith of the Tower, in the Town of Pwllheli in the County of Carnarvon, Gentleman.I give and devise all that my messuage and dwelling house garden and premises with the Appurtenances situate at Penlon in the Town of Pwllheli in the said County of Carnarvon now in the occupation of David Davies, Slater and Plasterer, his under tenants or assigns to my brother John Griffith his heirs and assigns for ever.
I give and devise all that my other messuage or dwelling house garden and premises with the appurtenances situate at Penlon aforesaid in the said Town of Pwllheli now in the occupation of Edward Jones, Minister of the Gospel, to my illegitimate daughter Mary Griffith, now living with me and whose mother was my late wife, Margaret Griffith and to her heirs and assigns for ever.
I give and devise all that my messuage or dwelling house and premises with the appurtenances situate in High Street in the said Town of Pwllheli now in the occupation of Henry Lewis unto my Niece Mary Griffith daughter of my said brother John Griffith and to her heirs and assigns for ever.
I give and bequeath to my said brother John Griffith the sum of two hundred pounds.
I give and bequeath to my said Niece Mary Griffith the sum of one hundred pounds.
I give and bequeath to my Niece Rebeccah Prichard the wife of John Prichard the sum of one hundred and fifty pounds.
I give and bequeath to my Nephew Griffith Griffith son of my said brother John Griffith the sum of one hundred pounds.
I give and bequeath to John Ellis son of my late Niece Catherine Ellis the sum of one hundred pounds.
All which said several legacies I direct be paid by my Executrix herinafter named at the end of twelve calendar months next after my decease.
As to all the rest residue and remainder of my real and personal estate of every description and where so ever situate of lodged or deposited subject to the payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses I give devise and bequeath the same and every part thereof to my said illegitimate daughter Mary Griffith her heirs executors administrators and assigns absolutely for ever.
And I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said illegitimate daughter Mary Griffith Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void all Wills and Testaments by me at any time heretofore made and declare this to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I the said Thomas Griffith the Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal the seventh day of September one thousand eight hundred and forty seven.
Signed sealed published and declared by the said Thomas Griffith the Testator as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses.

On the thirteenth day of September in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three the above Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the above named Executrix, she being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £1500.
