Margaret Roberts, High Street, Pwllheli, Widow : Will 1853.

This is the last Will and Testament of me Margaret Roberts of Pwllheli in the County of Carnarvon, Widow.

I give and bequeath all my money and personal property unto my stepfather Evan Williams of Pwllheli, Ironmonger. In trust to pay my funeral and testamentary expenses and my just debts and to pay and apply the residue for and towards the support of my dear children, John and Robert.

I give and devise all my real property, which I am seized of either solely as tenant in common or otherwise situate in the Parish of Llanbeblig in the said County or elsewhere unto and between my said children John and Robert their heirs and assigns for ever, as tenants in common should either of my said children die before he attained the age of twenty one years.

I give and devise all my real property unto the survivor of them for ever and if both my said children should die under age and without leaving lawful issue him surviving I devise the said real property to Joyce Catherine infant daughter of the said Evan Williams for ever.

Should the survivor of my said children die under the age of twenty one years leaving lawful issue him surviving the property shall descend to such lawful issue or if more than one equally.

I appoint the said Evan Williams Trustee and Guardian for my said children and empower him his Executors or Administrators from time to time to receive and recover the rents of the said property and when received to give receipts for the same which shall at all times be a sufficient discharge to the person or persons paying the same. The said rents to be from time to time applied towards the support of my children or the survivor of them.

I appoint the said Evan Williams Sole Executor of this my Will. I revoke all former Wills. In witness whereof I the said Testatrix have hereunto set my hand and seal this sixth day of November one thousand eight hundred and fifty two.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Margaret Roberts the Testatrix in the presence of us present at the same time who have signed our names as witnesses thereto in her presence and in the presence of each other, the inter lineation as to the application of the rents having been previously made.

On the twenty fourth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty three the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Executor Evan Williams, he being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to one hundred pounds (£100)
