Humphrey Jones, Penrhydliniog, Pwllheli, Tanner : Will 1853.

In the name of God Amen.

I Humphrey Jones of Penrhydliniog in the Parish of Denio in the County of Carnarvon, Tanner, being in tolerable health of body and of sound disposing mind mwmory and understanding, praised be Almighty God for the same do this sixteenth day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty one, make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. Viz.

First, I give and bequeath unto my beloved wife Anne Jones the sum of fifty pounds, with all the household furniture she had in her possession at the time of her marriage, also a feather bed and all clothes belonging to a bed. I would have given her more but that I consider she will be entitled to a dower out of my real estate during her life.

Also I give and bequeath unto my sons Owen Jones and David Jones the sum of pound each.

Also I give and bequeath unto the children of my late daughter Anne Jones the sum of five pounds each to be paid their at their severally attaining the age of twenty one years or the day of their marriage. I charge all my real, leasehold and personal estate with the payment of my bond debt; and subject to such charge of my bond debts and afterwards of my minor debts, funeral expenses, the above legacies and the proving of this my Will, I give devise and bequeath all the rest of my real, leasehold and personal estate, of what kind nature or quality soever the same may be or consist of at the time of my decease unto my son John Jones, to him, his heirs and assigns absolutely and forever.

Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my said son John Jones Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void every other Will or Wills heretofore by me made declaring this, and this only to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first before written.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator Humphrey Jones as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have
subscribed our names as witnesses.

On the 8th day of March in the year of our Lord 1853 the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Executor, John Jones, he being first sworn in common form of law, and that the whole of the goods chattels and credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £200.

The deceased died the 24th day of September 1851.

A true and perfect Inventory of all the household, goods furniture, half of the tan house, effects and credits of the late Humphrey Jones of Penrhydlyniog in the Parish of Denio in the County of Carnarvon made by us (gratis)we subscribed our names hereto this 22nd day of September 1852.
