Ann Evans, Penlan Street, Pwllheli, Timber Merchant, Widow : Will 1843.

In the name of God Amen.

I Anne Evans of Penlan Street in the Town of Pwllheli, in the Parish of Denio, in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, Widow, being sick and weak in body, but of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding, blessed be Almighty God for the same, do this twenty first day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two (1842) make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and from following. Viz.

First, I order and direct that all my just debts funeral expenses and the proving of this Will be paid and satisfied by my children out of my personal estate and I make all my personal estate chargeable with the same; the remainder after the aforesaid payment of all my personal estate of what kind nature or quality soever the same may be or consist of at the time of my decease, I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof equally unto and between my children, viz : William, Eleanor, Anne, David, Gwen and John, share and share alike absolutely.

Also I give devise and bequeath all my real and leasehold estate, whether the same be land, houses, gardens, yards, outhouses or what kind or nature soever the same may be, unto and equally between my said children, viz : William Evans, Eleanor Mathias, Anne Williams, David Evans, Gwen Evans and John Evans, to them, their heirs and assigns for ever, as Tenants in common and not as Joint Tenants.

Lastly, I nominate constitute and appoint my said children, William Evans, Eleanor Mathias, Anne Williams, David Evans, Gwen Evans and John Evans, Joint Executors and Executrixes of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking every other Will or Wills heretofore by me made and making them void, declaring this and this only to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first before written.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testatrix Anne Evans as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who in her presence, at her request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses, the words “same” being first interlined.

On the twentieth day of April in the year of our Lord onr thousand eight hundred and forty three (1843) the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named William Evans, Eleanor Mathias, Anne Williams, David Evans, Gwen Evans and John Evans, Joint Executors, they being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of three hundred pounds.
