Mary Thomas, Clogwyn, Pwllheli, Spinster : Will 1838.

In the name of God Amen.

I Mary Thomas of Clogwyn in the Parish of Denio, in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, Spinster, being sick and weak in body, but of sound disposing mind, memory and understanding, praised be Almighty God for the same, do this fifth day of December in the year of our Lord, one thousand eight hundred and thirty seven (1837) make publish and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, viz.

In token of the love and affection I have and bear towards my Niece Margaret Williams of Clogwyn, Spinster and for her kindness and great attention to me especially in my illness, whilst in my service, I give and bequeath unto her my said Niece the said Margaret Williams all the Goods Chattels Effects and Credits that I shall be possessed of at the time of my death absolutely.

I charge all my real estate with the payment of my just debts funeral expenses and the proving of this Will, and subject to the said payments by my three sisters equally out out of my said Real Estate.

I give devise and bequeath all my such Real Estate unto and between my said sisters Eleanor Griffith, Anne Williams and Elizabeth Evans and to their heirs and assigns for ever equally as Tenants in Common and not as Joint Tenants.

Lastly I nominate constitute and appoint my said Niece Margaret Williams of Clogwyn Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, hereby revoking and making void every other Will or Wills heretofore by me made declaring this and this only to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testatrix Mary Thomas as and for her last Will and testament in the presence of us who in her presence at her request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.

On the eighteenth day of January in the year of our Lord 1828 the within named or written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Margaret Williams, Sole Executrix, she being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods and Effects of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of Twenty Pounds.

A true and perfect Inventory of all the Goods Chattels and Credits of the late Mary Thomas of Clogwyn in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, Spinster, made and appraised by us (Gratis) this 2nd day of January in the year of our Lord 1828.
