Margaret Griffith, Tyddyn Llwydyn, Llannor, Spinster : Will 1832.

In the name of God Amen.

I Margaret Griffith of Tyddyn Llwydyn in the County of Carnarvon, Spinster do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say.

First I direct that all my just debts legacies funeral expenses and the expense of proving this my Will be paid out of my personal estate by my Executrix named.

I give and devise unto my Niece Catherine Vaughan now living with me at Tyddyn Llwydyn aforesaid all those several messuages tenements and lands with their several rights members and appurtenances called and known by the names of Tyddyn Llwydyn and Dolypenrhyn situate in the Parish of Llannor in the said County of Carnarvon in the holding of the said Margaret Griffith, John Owen and Owen Hughes and to her heirs and assigns for ever.

I give and devise unto my servant Mary Williams now living with me all that messuage tenement and lands with the appurtenances situate in the Parish of Llannor in the holding of Robert Roberts and to her heirs and assigns for ever called Traean.

I give and devise unto Anne the daughter of Dorothy Williams who was sister to my said servant Mary Williams all that and those messuages tenements and lands with the appurtenances called and known by the names of Tyddyn Adda and Plas Coch situate in the Parish of Llannor aforesaid in the holding of Griffith Hughes and Robert Evans and to her heirs and assigns for ever.

I give and devise unto my Cousin William Glynne Griffith the elder of Bodegroes in the said County of Carnarvon Esquire all the several messuages tenements and lands with their several right members and appurenances thereunto belonging called and known by the names of Hendre, Rhydhir Efailnewydd together with the cottages purchased by my late Brother from the late John Browning Edwards Esquire situate in the Parish of Llannor aforesaid and also all the several messuages tenements and lands with their rights members and appurtenances called and known by the names of Capelcam, Tyntwll and Frondirion situate in the Parish of Denio in the said County of Carnarvon and also all those several messuages and appurtenances called Tregrwyn, Caecauad, Pentreyrhwyad and Rhydgoch situate in the several Parishes of Meillteyrn and Bottwnog in the said County of Carnarvon and to his heirs and assigns forever.

I give and bequeath unto my god daughter Margaret Elizabeth Griffith of Bodegroes aforesaid spinster the sum of one hundred pounds. I give and bequeath to Catherine Jones the wife of Hugh Hughes of Caera in the Parish of Clynnog in the said County the sum of twenty pounds.

I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Jones sister to the said Catherine Jones the sum of ten pounds. I giver and bequeath to the daughter of the late Margaret Williams late of Ynys bobloedd in the Parish of Abererch in the said County and now living at Ynys bobloedd aforesaid the sum of ten pounds.

I give and bequeath to Anne Williams of Chwilog now in my service the sum of ten pounds. I give and bequeath to Margaret Williams of Frondirion in the Parish of Denio aforesaid spinster - sister to my servant Mary Williams the sum of ten pounds.

I give and bequeath to Jane Jones of Llawrydre in the Parish of Llangian in the said County, Widow the sum of ten pounds.

I give and bequeath to Elizabeth Evans of Pwllheli, Spinster the daughter of the late William Evans of Pwllheli aforesaid, shopkeeper deceased the sum of ten pounds.

Which said several legacies I order and direct to be paid by my Executive hereinafter named within six months after my decease. Whereas the Reverend William Roberts of Galltyberen in the said County, Clerk is indebted to me in the sum of money by Bond, I give and bequeath the said Bond and all the money due thereon as principal Interest at the time of my decease to the Reverend Griffith Roberts of Galltyberen, aforesaid Clerk absolutely to his own use for ever.

I give and bequeath unto the eldest son of the late Thomas Roberts of Clogwyn Rhintach by Mary his wife who is now living in the Town of Pwllheli aforesaid all that messuage tenement and lands with the appurtenances called Cemlyn situate in the Parish of Abererch in the sadi County of Carnarvon in the holding of Mr John Evans and to hos heirs and assigns forever.

Whereas I have above given and devised to my Cousin the said William Glynne Griffith all that messuage tenement and lands called Hendre in the said Parish of Llannor I direct that William Morris the present tenant of Hendre aforesaid shall hold and occupy the said farm at the same rent which he now pays for the same unmolested by the said William Glynne Griffith his heirs and assigns for two years certain after my decease.

All the rest residue and remainder of my estate and effects real and personal I give devise and bequeath unto the said Catherine Vaughan of Tyddyn Llwydyn aforesaid spinster absolutely forever.

I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint the said Catherine Vaughan Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I the said Margaret Griffith the Testatrix have to the two first sheets set my hand and to this third and last sheet my hand and seal this sixth day of September one thousand eight hundred and thirty two (1832)

Signed sealed declared and published by the above named Margaret Griffith as and for her last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who at her request and in her presence have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.

On the twenty sixth day of October in the year of our Lord 1832, the within written Willi (containing three sheets) was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Catherine Vaughan, Sole Executrix, she being first sworn in common form of law and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of six hundred pounds.
