Hugh Jones, Pwllheli, Gentleman : Will 1827.

In the name of God Amen.

I Hugh Jones of Pwllheli in the Parish of Denio in the County of Carnarvon, Gentleman, being weak and sick in body, but of sound mind memory and understanding praised be Almighty God for the same do this twenty second day of December in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and twenty six (1826) make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, viz.

First, I give and bequeath unto my Niece Mary, daughter of my late sister Lowry the sum of one shilling and no more.

Also I give devise and bequeath unto my beloved wife Susannah Jones an annuity of five pounds a year during the term of her natural life out of all my real estate situate in the Parish of Edern in the County of Carnarvon.

And subject to the above annuity and the payment of all my just debts and the proving of this my Will, I give devise and bequeath all my real estate whether lands houses outhouses pig sties and all and every appurtenances thereunto belonging, situate as aforesaid in the Parish of Edern unto my sister Catherine Jones, Spinster and my Nephew William Evans son of my late sister Mary Evans as Tenants in Common and not as Joint Tenants, and to their heirs for ever.

As to all the personal property I shall be possessed of at the time of my decease, I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my said beloved wife Susannah Jones. I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said beloved wife Susannah Jones, Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, revoking and making void every other Will or Wills heretofore by me made declaring this and this only to be my last Will. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator Hugh Jones as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.

On the 9th day of February in the year of our Lord 1829 the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Susannah Jones, Sole Administratrix, she being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of £20.
