Owen Prichard, Penfras Llangybi, Farmer : Will 1845.
In the name of God Amen. The twenty first day of May one thousand eight hundred and forty four.I Owen Prichard of Penfras Farm in the Parish of Llangybi, County of Carnarvon, being very sick of body but of perfect mind amd memory thanks be given unto God, therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my body, knowing that it is appointed once unto all men to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul unto the hands of the Almighty God that gave it and my body I do commend to the earth to be buried in decent Christian burial at the discretion of my Executors nothing doubting but at the general resurrection I shall receive the same again by the Almighty Power of God. And touching such worldly estate wherewith it has God pleased to bless me in this life, I give devise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.
First I give and bequeath to my son Robert Owen the sum of one shilling of lawful money of England to be paid by my Executors.
Also I give and bequeath to my son John Owen the sum of one shilling to be paid by my Executors.
Also I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Owen the sum of one shilling to be paid by my Executors.
Also I give and bequeath to my son Owen Owen the sum of one shilling to be paid by my Executors.
Also I give and bequeath to my son William Owen the sum of one shilling to be paid by my Executors.
Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary Owen the sum of one shilling to be paid by my Executors.
Also I give and bequeath to my well beloved wife Elizabeth Prichard with my two sons Humphrey Owen and Griffith Owen whom I likewise constitute make and ordain my Sole Executors of this my last Will and Testament all and singular my lands and messuage and tenements with my household stuff, debts and moveable effects by them to be possessed and enjoyed. Also I make and ordain that my said sons Humphrey Owen and Griffith Owen shall not bring a wife to live with my dear wife Elizabeth Prichard during the course of his life without the consent of the said Elizabeth Prichard. Also I make and ordain if one of my said sons Humphrey Owen and Griffith Owen or both of them marry before the death of my said dear wife Elizabeth Prichard they will not share my household stuff until the death of my said wife but if one of my said Executors like to depart one from another I give them ? To share all my goods cattle amd moveable effects, only the household stuff are not to be shared until the death of my said wife. Also I ordain that my said wife not bring a husband to my said sons but by their consent so long as they or one of them live single with her.
I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former Testament, Wills, Legacies bequeathed, ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this day and year above written.
Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Owen Prichard as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us the subscribers.

On the fourth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty five the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Elizabeth Prichard, Humphrey Prichard and Griffith Prichard, being the widow, sons and Joint Executors, they having being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the Goods Chattels Effects and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds.
