Robert Owen, Rhyda Gloywon, Carnguwch, Yeoman : Will 1787.
In the name of God Amen.I Robert Owen of Rhyda Gloywon in the Parish of Carngiwch in the County of Carnarvon Yeoman being sick and weak in body by infirmity of an old age, but of sound and perfect mind and memory praised be God, having a disposed mind to establish my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say.
First of all I give unto my brother William Owen ten shillings and sixpence.
Also I give and bequeath unto my sister Elizabeth Owen five shillings.
Also I give and bequeath unto my sister Gaynor Owen five shillings.
Also I give and bequeath to all my nephews and nieces, sons and daughters to my brothers to my brothers and sisters one shilling each. That is to say, to those aforesaid nephews and nieces that will enjoy the present life after my death.
And for touching the rest and residue of all my Goods Chattels Implements of Husbandry Household Stuff and other of my personal estate by me freely to be possessed, I give and bequeath the same subject to the payment of all and every such debt and debts as shall by justly owing by me at my decease and my funeral expenses discharge unto my beloved wife Sarah Prichard, whom I do hereby make constitute and appoint Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament.
And I do hereby revoking and annulling all former Wills and Testaments by me made by works writings or otherwise. In testimony whereof I the said Robert Owen have hereto set my hand and seal the fifth day of May in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and eighty four.
N.B. I give and bequeath unto my brother Evan Owen five shillings.

On which day the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the Executrix within named, she being first sworn as the Law directs saving etc.
