William Owen, Glanrhyd, Bodfean, Mariner : Will 1833.

In the name of God Amen.

I William Owen of Glanrhyd in the Parish of Bodvean in the County of Carnarvon, Mariner, being of sound mind memory and understanding do male publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following. That is to say.

First it is my will and meaning that all my debts and funeral expenses be paid and discharged by my Executrix hereinafter named and as to my estate both real and personal by me freely possessed I give and devise unto my daughter Jane Owen the 1/16th part of the sloop Perl of Nevin now under the command of her husband John Griffith and the clock, after the death of my wife Mary Prichard.

Also I give and bequeath to my grandson William Ellis 1/16th part of the sloop Catherine and Mary of Nevin from this day hereafter freely possessed.

I also give and bequeath unto my grand daughter Jane Owen the daughter of my late son Owen Owens the value of one shilling.

All the rest residue and remainder of my worldly Goods Chattels and Effects of what nature or kind soever I give and bequeath unto my said dear wife Mary Prichard and I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said wife Mary Prichard Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all fomer Wills by me made. In witness whereof I the said Testator William Owen have hereunto set my hand and seal the twenty first day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty two.

Signed sealed published and declared by the within named Testator and for his last Will and Testator in the presence of us, who at his request in his presence and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses hereto.

On the 31st day of May in the year of our Lord 1833 the aforesaid written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Mary Prichard alias Mary Owen, Sole Executrix, she being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the deceased do not amount in value to the sum of one hundred pounds.
