Richard Griffith, Mathan Uchaf, Bodfean, Farmer : Will 1829.

In the name of God Amen.

I Richard Griffith of Mathan Ucha in the parish of Bodvean in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, Farmer, being of sound and disposing mind memory and understanding (although rendered by old age infirm) do make and publish my last Will and Testament in manner and form following, that is to say.

I will and desire that all my just debts and funeral expenses be first and duly paid by my Executors hereafter named, and as to all my Worldly goods chattels and effects moveable and unmoveable where soever to be found and whatever they will be at the time of my decease, or consist of I give devise and bequeath the same to my dear beloved wife Jane Griffith and my son John Griffith and my son Griffith Griffith Bachelor reserving at the same time to my said wife Jane Griffith out of my personal effects the sum of twenty pounds, and I do hereby authorize her, in her lifetime or by her last Will and Testament to give and bequeath the same as she may deem proper.

Lastly I do hereby nominate constitute and appoint my dear wife Jane Griffith and my two sons John Griffith and Griffith Griffith to be Joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament, and I do hereby revoke disannull and make void all former Will or Wills by me made and declare this and this only to be my last Will and Testament. In witness whoereof I the said Testator have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of February one thousand eight hundred and twenty seven.

Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator Richard Griffith in the presence of us at his request and in the presence of each other we have signed our names as witnesses.

On the 27th day of August in the year of our ord 1829 the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Jane Griffith, John Griffith and Griffith Griffith, Joint Executors, they being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £100.

A true and perfect Inventory of all the Goods Chattels Effects and Credits of the late Richard Griffith of Mathan Uchaf in the Parish of Bodfean in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer, deceased made and appraised by us gratis this 22nd day of July 1829.
