John Williams, Mathan Ganol, Bodfean, Yeoman : Will 1842.

In the name of God Amen.

I John Williams of Mathan Ganol in the Parish of Bodvean and County of Carnarvon do make my last Will and Testament as follows.

I bequeath unto my son William the sum of ten pounds sterling money.

I also bequeath unto my daughter Margaret the sum of ten pounds sterling money.

I also bequeath unto my grandson John, son of my daughter Margaret the sum of five pounds sterling, to be placed in some bank there to accumulate until my said grandson arrives at the age of twenty one.

I give unto my wife Sarah all other monies stock goods furniture wearing apparel etc which I may die possessed of, to enjoy for the term of her natural life, provided she continues unmarried to the day of her death.

I bequeath unto my son Richard all the above monies, stock goods furniture wearing apparel etc that I may die possessed of after the death of my said wife Sarah, with the exception of the sum of five pounds which my said wife Sarah may dispose of as she pleases.

In case my said wife Sarah marries after my decease, she shall forfeit all the monies stock goods furniture wearing apparel etc which I may die possessed of with the exception of five pounds and a bed, and my son Richard shall have possession forthwith of all such monies stock goods furniture wearing apparel etc.

In case my son Richard die before my wife Sarah, my said wife Sarah shall dispose of all monies stock goods furniture wearing apparel etc as she sees fit. I appoint my wife Sarah Executrix of this my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof I the said Testator John Williams hereunto set my hand and seal this sixteenth day of March in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty eight.

Signed sealed and declared by the said Testator John Williams as his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who hereby subscribe our names as witnesses.

On the 27th day of April in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and forty two, the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Sarah William, Sole Executrix, she being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of two hundred pounds.

The Testator died on the 3rd of July 1842.

The true and perfect Inventory of all and singular the Goods Cattle and Chattels Cues and Debts of John Williams late of Mathan Ganol Parish of Bodvean in the County of Carnarvon, Yeoman, and Diocese of Bangor, made and valued appraised the thirty first day of March 1842 as followeth.
