Griffith Roberts, Talysarn, Bodfean, Farmer : Will 1836.

In the name of God Amen.

I Griffith Roberts of Talysarn in the Parish of Bodvean in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, Farmer, being poorly but of sound mind memory and understanding but uncertainty of this transitory life, I do make publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament in manner and form following.

First I give and bequeath unto my son David Roberts Rhallt Coch in the Parish of Bodvean in the County of Carnarvon the sum of two shillings.

Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Ellizabeth the wife of the late Captain William Jones, Nevin the sum of five shillings.

Also I give and bequeath to my son Richard Griffith of Pentrallech in the Parish of Dudweiliog in the County of Carnarvon the sum of one pound and two shillings.

Also I give and bequeath to my son Griffith Roberts Ty'r yard Talysarn one sooking colt and gears for one horse and the fourth part of the hay, corn potatoes and pigs of Talysarn and the said Griffith Roberts must pay the fourth part of the rent of Talysarn and houses and the fourth part of the debt.

I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary the wife of Joseph Parry late of Castell Bach in the Parish of Nevin in the County of Carnarvon the sum of one pound fifteen shillings.

Also I give and bequeath to my son Thomas Griffith of Bwlch Gwynt in the Parish of Pistill in the County of Carnarvon the sum of four pounds ten shillings.

Also I give and bequeath to my son John Griffith the sum of six pounds and all my clothes.

Also and as to all singular my goods chattels implements in husbandry of Talysarn from and immediately after my decease for and during the rest and residue or remainder of the term then to come and unexpired I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof after payment and satisfaction of all my just debt legacies and funeral expense unto and between my son Hugh Griffith and my daughter Sydney Griffith, share and share alike to be equally divided between them and I do hereby constitute and appointed my said son Hugh Griffith and my daughter Sydney Griffith Co-Executors of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking all former and Wills and Testaments.

But if the said Sydney Griffith like to depart from the said Hugh Griffith and of stock the said Hugh Griffith must pay to Sydney Griffith the sum of seventy pounds of good and lawful money of Great Britain and bedstead, feather bed, bolster, two sheets, three blankets, and one cover by me heretofore made and declaring this my last Will and Testament. In witness whereof the said Griffith Roberts have the said Griffith Roberts have hereunto set my hand and seal this fourth day of June one thousand eight hundred and thirty fie (1835).

On the twenty first day of January in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty six (1836) the aforesaid written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the aforesaid named Hugh Griffith and Sydney Griffith Joint Executors, they being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods and Effects Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of two hundred pounds.

A true and perfect Inventory of all the Goods Chattels and Credits of the late Griffith Roberts of Talysarn in the Parish of Bodvean deceased of Bangor in the County of Carnarvon, farmer made and appraised by us 1st day of January 1836.
