John Robert, Glanravon, Bodvean : Will 1754.
In the name of God Amen.I John Robert of Glanravon in the Parish of Bodvean, County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor, being sick and weak in body but of sound mind and memory, thank to Almighty God, do make this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following.
First of all I give and bequeath to my son Griffith Jones the sum of five pounds.
Also I give and bequeath to my son Robert Jones the sum of five pounds.
Also I give I give and bequeath to my grand daughter Ellin Griffith the bed cupboard.
Also I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife Ellin Jones all the rest of my household Goods, Bills, Bonds, Cattle and Chattels and all the rest and residue of my personal state whom likewise I nominate and appoint Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament revoking and disannulling all other former Wills or Testaments at any time before made by me, ratifying and confirming this to be my last. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this eighth day of October 1754.
Signed sealed published and declared in the presence of Lewis Jones Clerk, Thomas Patrick and Harry Jones.
October 18th 1754 was proved approved and decreed valid the last Will and Testament under written in common form of Law and Administration of all and singular the Goods Cattle and Chattel committed .... appointed being first sworn as the law directs .... execution thereof all rights saved etc.
