MRS. ELIZABETH EVANS. OLD BATHS, GARTH, BANGOR.
On Friday night, after a long illness, the death took place of Mrs. Elizabeth Evans, Old Baths, Garth (late of Kyffin Arms).The deceased, who was 78 years of age, was the youngest daughter of the late Mr. Lewis Jones, team owner and proprietor of the "Syr Owain ap Tudur" Tavern in Glar'rafon.
The funeral took place on Wednesday afternoon, at Glanadda Cemetery, the officiating clergyman being the Rev. T. A. Cooke, B. A., St. Mary's.
Amongst the mourners were: Messrs Lewis O. Evans (son); Mrs. H. L. Roberts, Mrs. S. J. Richardson, London, and Mrs. M. A. Thomas (daughters); Messrs Thomas Parry Thomas, W. Gray Thomas, Samuel Thomas, John Thomas, Edward Lloyd, Joseph Owen, Edward Jones, Aber; Theophilus Evans and Thomas Williams, Bethesda (nephews); Messrs Tom Roberts and Thomas Thomas (sons-in-law); W. Owen Roberts (grandson); Mrs. Tom Butler (grand- daughter); Mrs. M. Evans and Mrs. M. E. Evans (daughters-in-law); Mrs. Maggie Davies, Mrs. M. E. Evans and Mrs. S. Owens (nieces); Miss Mair Roberts 9grand-daughter), and Mrs. Millar.
Several wreaths were placed on the coffin. Messrs Watkin Jones and Son were the undertakers.
