David Phillip, Gwagynoe, Abererch, Farmer : Will 1839

In the name of God Amen.

I David Phillip of Gwagynoe in the Parish of Abererch in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer, being in health of body, and of sound disposing mind. Memory and understanding. Praised be God for the same, do this first day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty four (1834), make, publish and ordain this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following that is to say.

First I give and bequeath unto my daughter Mary Phillips the sum of Two Shillings and Six Pence.

Also I give and bequeath unto my son John Phillips the like sum of Two Shillings and Six Pence.

Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Catherine Phillips the like sum of Two Shillings and Six Pence.

Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth Phillips the like sum of Two Shillings and Six Pence.

Also I give and bequeath unto my son David Phillips the like sum of Two Shillings and Six Pence.

Also I give and bequeath unto my son Phillip Phillips the like sum of Two Shillings and Six Pence.

Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Eleanor Phillips the like sum of Two Shillings and Six Pence.

Also I give and bequeath unto my daughter Jane Phillips the sum of One Pound.

Also I give and bequeath unto my son Richard Phillips the sum of One Pound.

As to all the rest, residue and remainder of my personal estate and effects of what kind nature or quality soever the same may be, or consist of at the time of my decease, I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto my son Thomas Phillips absolutely. And I hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my said son Thomas Phillips Sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, revoking and making void every other Will or Wills heretofore by me made, declaring this and this only to be my last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year first above written. Signed, sealed, published and declared by the said Testator David Phillips as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us, who in his presence, at his request, and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.

On the Seventeenth day of July in the year of our Lord 1839 the within written Will was insinuated, proved, approved and in common form of Law decreed Valid and administration granted to the within named Thomas Phillips, sole Executor, he being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased, do not amount in value to the sum of One hundred pounds.

A true and Perfect Inventory of all the Chattels and Effects of the late David Phillips of Gwagynoe in the parish of Abererch in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer deceased made by us whose names are hereunder subscribed the 4th day of June 1839.
