Jane Thomas, Penrhyn, Aber-erch, : Will 1837.

In the name of God Amen.

The thirty first day of January One thousand eight hundred and twenty five. The last Will and Testament of Jane Thomas of Penrhyn in the Parish of Abererch and County of Carnarvon, that is to say principally and first of all, I give and recommend my soul to Jesus Christ the only saviour of lost sinners, and my body to the Earth, after Death to be buried in a decent christian burial by my Executor hence after named. And as touching such worldly effects with what it has pleased Almighty God to bless me in this world, I give demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form.

I give and bequeath to my well beloved daughter Jane Jones a cupboard with all it contains of my property, an oak chair, bed and bedding, an oak chest, an ironing iron with its heaters, spinning wheel and my box and clothes to be possessed by her.

Also I give to my beloved Grandson Thomas Griffith one sheep, now grazing in Penrhyn Farm to be possessed by him.

I give also to my well beloved son Jacob Jones, one shilling, after my death to be him by my Executor. I give also, to my well beloved daughter Ellen Jones the sum of one shilling after my death.

Also I give and bequeath to my well beloved son Thomas Jones whom I likewise constitute make and ordain my sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament, all the remainder of my property after paying all my funeral expenses by him freely to be possessed and enjoyed. And I do hereby utterly disallow revoke and disannul all and every other former Testaments Wills and Bequeaths satisfying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament.

In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written. Signed sealed published pronounced and declared by the said Jane Thomas in the presence of us the subscribers.

On the fourth day of January in the year of our Lord 1837, the aforesaid Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the above named Thomas Jones, Sole Executor, he being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to the sum of Twenty Pounds.
