Griffith Parry, Tanygraig, Aber-erch, Farmer : Will 1831.

In the name of God Amen.

I Griffith Parry of Tanygraig in the Parish of Abererch in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer, being sick and weak in body, but of sound mind memory and understanding praised be Almighty God for the same, do this thirteenth day of June in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty one /1831/, make publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in manner and form following viz.

First, subject to the payment and discharge of all my just debts funeral expenses and the costs and charges of proving this my last Will and Testament. I give unto my beloved wife Catherine Parry all my personal estate and effects of what kind nature or quality soever the same may be or consist at the time of my decease, during the term of her natural life and from and after her decease I give and bequeath the same and every part thereof unto and between my son in law Griffith Jones now living with me and my daughter Mary Jones of Tynllidiart in the Parish of Llangian, subject to a legacy of Twenty Pounds, which I give and bequeath unto my Grandson Griffith Parry son of my said daughter Mary Jones to be paid to him after the death of my wife Catherine Parry. My Will is that my son in law Griffith Jones is to keep no horse cowe sheep or pigs in his own name on the Farm of Tanygraig during the life of my wife.

I nominate constitute and appoint my said beloved wife Catherine Parry sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament hereby revoking and making void every other Will or Wills heretofore by me made declaring this and this only to be my last Will. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand the day and year first above written. Signed sealed published and declared by the said Testator Griffith Parry as and for his last Will and Testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses.

On the tenth day of October in the year of our Lord 1831, the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and administration granted to the within named Catherine Parry Sole Executrix she being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said Deceased do not amount in value to the sum of Two hundred pounds.

A true and perfect Inventory of all the goods chattels effects and credits of the late Griffith Parry of Tanygraig in the Parish of Abererch, County of Carnarvon, Farmer, deceased, made and appraised by us (Gratis) this second day of August in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and thirty one 1831.
