David Jenkins, Pwllheli, Slater : Will 1810.
In the name of God Amen. I David Jenkins of Pwllheli, Slater being of sound mind memory and understanding considering the mortality of my body, and the immortality of my soul and hoping to be saved through the merits and mediation of my dear saviour Jesus Christ do publish and declare this my last Will and Testament in the form and manner following, that is to say.In the first place I give and bequeath to my son David Jenkins the sum of twenty shillings.
Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Eleanor the sum of twenty shillings.
Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Elizabeth the sum of twenty shillings.
Also I give and bequeath to my daughter Mary the sum of twenty shillings.
As to the rest and remainder of my personal estate goods chattels and credits, I give and bequeath the same, all and singular thereof unto my dear beloved wife Eleanor Davies for her sole use and benefit, whom I nominate and appoint Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament. In testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this twenty second day of January one thousand eight hundred and ten.
Signed sealed published and declared by the Testator David Jenkins as and for his last Will and Testament in our presence who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereunto.

On the 17th day of February in the year of our Lord 1810, the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Executrix Eleanor Davies, she being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £20.
