Samuel William, Ty'n y Coed, Abererch, Farmer : Will 1804.

In the name of God Amen.

I Samuel William of Ty'n Coed in the Parish of Abererch in the County of Carnarvon, Farmer being old and infirm but of sound mind memory and understanding blessed be God for the same, knowing that I have but a short time to live upon earth and hoping to be saved thro the merits of our Blessed Saviour Jesus Christ do publish and declare this written Instrument as and for my last Will and Testament which I make and ordain in form and manner following – That is to say.

I give and bequeath unto my son John Samuel the sum of Thirty pounds.

I give and bequeath unto my daughter Eleanor Samuel the sum of Fourteen pounds together with my best Bed Head, Feather Bed, Bed Clothes and its appurtenances.

I give and bequeath unto my son Robert Samuel the sum of Twenty shillings.

I give and bequeath unto my son Richard Samuel the sum of Twenty shillings.

I give and bequeath unto my son William Samuel the sum of Twenty shillings.

I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah Lloyd Samuel the sum of Twenty shillings.

I give and bequeath unto my granddaughter Eleanor Samuel, daughter of Richard Griffith, Smith and Sarah Lloyd Samuel aforesaid a couple of my best Pewter Dishes.

I give and bequeath unto the said Eleanor Samuel the best of my oak cupboards.

I give and bequeath unto my grandson William Hughes by Hugh Jones and my daughter Jane the sum of Twenty shillings. Lastly, as for and touching the residue and remainder of my personal estate I give and bequeath the same, all and singular thereof, after the payment of the above Legacies defraying my funeral expenses and proving this my last Will and Testament unto and between my son John and my daughter Eleanor Samuel, share and share alike with the option to divide it equally between them whenever either of them is inclined to do so.

The said John and Eleanor Samuel I nominate constitute and appoint Joint Executors of this my last Will and Testament. In Testimony whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this first day of October in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and ninety nine.

Signed sealed published and declared by the Testator Samuel William as and for his last Will and Testament in our presence who in his presence and at his request and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as witnesses thereto.

On the 30th day of November in the year of our Lord 1803 the within written Will was insinuated proved approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and Administration granted to the within named Executors, John and Eleanor Samuel, they being first sworn in common form of Law and that the whole of the Goods Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £100.
before me Richard Owen Surrogate.

Probate granted 20th February 1804.
