David Williams, Ysteddfa, Abererch, Ship Carpenter : Will 1803.

In the name of God Amen.

I David Williams of Ysteddfa of the Parish of Abererch of the County of Carnarvon, Ship Carpenter. Considering the uncertainty of this Mortal Life, and being of sound mind and memory, do make and publish this my Last Will and Testament in manner and form following (That is to say).

I give and bequeath to my beloved Wife, Elizabeth Evans all my Goods and Chattels of what of whatever kind or nature soever.

I do also give and bequeath to my eldest son William Davies the sum of One Shilling.

I do also give and bequeath to my second son Owen Davies the sum of One Shilling.

I do also give and bequeath to my younger son Griffith Davies the sum of One Shilling.

I do also give and bequeath to my eldest daughter Ann Davies the sum of One Shilling.

I do also give and bequeath to my younger daughter Elinor Davies the sum of One Shilling.

Which said Legacies or Sums of Money, I will and order shall be paid to the said Respective legacies within Six Months after my decease.

I do hereby appoint my beloved wife Elizabeth Evans to be my Executor of this my Last Will and Testament, Hereby revoking all former Wills made by me made, in witness thereof I have set my hand and seals the 24th day of August in the fortieth year of the reign of our Sovereign Lord George the Third, by the Grace of God of Great Britain, France and Ireland, King, Defender of the Faith, and in the year of our Lord One thousand Eight Hundred, signed, sealed, published and declared by the above named David Williams to be his Last Will and Testament in the presence of us who have hereunto subscribe our names as witnesses in the presence of the Testator.

On the sixth day of July 1803 the within written Will was insinuated proved, approved and in common form of Law decreed valid and administration granted to the above named Elizabeth Evans, Executrix, she being first sworn in common form of Law, and that the whole of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the said deceased do not amount in value to £20.

Probate granted 11th October 1803. A true and perfect Inventory of all the Goods, Credits and Effects of the late David Williams of Ysteddfa in the Parish of Abererch deceased taken and appraised by us whose names are hereunto written this 6th day of July 1803.
