Anne Jones Penychain Abererch : Will 1793

In the Name of God. Amen.

I Anne Jones of Penychain in the Parish of Abererch in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor Being in perfect Health and sound mind memory and understanding calling to mind the Mortality of my Soul, Do institute and appoint, publish and declare this written Instrument as and for my last Will and Testament, which I make and ordain in form and manner following :

That is to say – I give and bequeath unto Grace Parry (my eldest Daughter) wife of Hugh Prichard of Penybryn in the Parish of Llanarmon in the County of Carnarvon and Diocese of Bangor the sum of Five pounds British Money.

I give and bequeath unto Lowry Parry (2nd Daughter) wife of Henry Owen of Beddgelert Village in the Parish of Beddgelert in the County and Diocese aforesaid the sum of Fve pounds British Money.

I give and bequeath unto Anne Parry (3rd and youngest Daughter) wife of Evan Jones of Penychain in the Parish od Abererch the like sum of Five pounds British Money.

With respect to the residue of my secular affairs Goods and Chattels (after the payment of just Debts and the above mentioned Legacies.) I give and bequeath the same and all singular thereof od what Quality or Distinction soever they may be at my Decease unto my son Owen Parry of Oxford Street in the Parish of Marylebone London, Shoemaker. The said Owen Parry I also institute and appoint to be sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament.

In Testimony where of I hereunto set my Hand and Seal this Nineteenth Day of August One Thousand Seven Hundred and Eighty Five.

Signed sealed published and declared by the Testatrix (Anne Jones) on and for her last Will and Testament in our presence (and at her request) and in the presence of each other subscribed our Names as Witnesses thereto.

On the 19th day of August 1798 probate of this Will was granted to Owen Parry the son of the deceased and Sole Executor named in the said Will having been first Sworn duly to Administer. On the 8th day of August in the year of our Lord 1793 the above or within written Will was insinuated, proved, approved and in Common Form of Law decreed Valid and Administration granted to the within names Executor Owen Parry, he being first personally sworn on the Holy Evangelist (having alledged that the whole of the Goods, Chattels and Credits of the Testatrix Anne Jones doth not amount In value to the sum of Three Hundred Pounds as the Law directs.
