Hugh Edward, Brynllaeth, Aber-erch, : Will 1788.
In the name of God Amen.I Hugh Edward of Brynllaeth in the Parish of Abererch in the County of Carnarvon and in the Diocese of Bangor do make publish and ordain this my last Will and Testament in the manner following. That is to say :
First I do give and bequeath to my son Robert Hughes the full sum of Fifty pounds of Lawfull English Money to be paid him when he comes to the full age of Twenty one years.
Likewise I do give and bequeath to my Daughter Jane Hughes the like sum of Fifty pounds of Lawfull English Money to be paid her when she comes to the full years of Twenty one.
As for the rest residue and remainder of my worldly Goods Chattels Househols Stuff rights and demands of all kinds, I do give and bequeath to Catherine my dearly beloved wife, whom I make and ordain Sole Executrix of this my last Will and Testament, provided she the said Catherine pays my debts, Legacies and Funeral Expenses. I do hereby revoke disallow and disannul all other former Wills made by me before hereto confirm this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have here unto set my hand and seal this first day of September in the year of Our Lord God, one thousand seven hundred and eighty four. Signed sealed published and delivered by the said Testator Hugh Edward in our presence whose names underneath subscribe.
